The NetView NV-300M PC camera from the security camera NetView range was a desktop and notebook PC webcam which is no longer available to buy. To use the NetView NV-300M with Windows XP download the driver software from the link provided.

 

Security Camera NetView

The NetView PC camera from I-View was a webcam for desktop and notebook PCs. NetView models NV-100M and NV-200M connected to the computer via its parallel port and the NV-300M connected using the USB port. Its features included video capture with JPEG compression, adjustable manual focus and automatic white balance and correction control. It also came with video-mail, card maker, photo album and net-meeting software.

Unfortunately I-View has stopped manufacturing the security camera NetView range and NetView PC cameras are not available to buy anymore. You can find the specifications for the NetView NV-300M camera below. Using The NetView NV-300M With Windows XP

To get the NetView NV-300M from the security camera NetView range to work with Windows XP go to www.ovt.com and download the XP drivers for the OV511 USB Camera. When you plug the camera into the pc, do not install software automatically, but select a driver from a list or specific location. Click next and select the 'don't search I will choose the driver to install' option, then click next.

Make sure you have extracted the driver files from the zip file into a folder, then click have disk and locate the folder with the drivers in. Click next again and "dual mode usb camera" should come up on the screen, this is the driver you want. Install this driver and the little red light will light up on the camera, it should work with any video conference / webcam programs.
